Read 7 tips on how to find fakes and then bring a pair of highly sought after official Kanye West dream sneakers.
Here are some steps to identify the fake Yeezy Boost 750.
The latest issue of the light gray Yeezy Boost 750 was discontinued on June 11, which caught the attention of Kanye West fans and sneaker collectors.
These shoes are reminiscent of the hysteria when the Air Jordan was released. In each subsequent release, you will find countless people trying to rate this coveted pair of sneakers.
Unsurprisingly, then, the light gray Yeezy Boost 750 sold out in a minute (of course, the rapper’s-transformed designer proudly released this data).
Now, the light gray Yeezy Boost 750 is priced in the thousands of dollars on eBay. As demand for Kanye sneakers always exceeds available supply, there is reason to believe that Yeezy Boosts are vulnerable to counterfeit products.
A teen learned this path was difficult when she suggested dating a couple of fake Yeezy Boosts (she found them fake on Twitter!). When the fakes are being peddled all the time, how can we make sure we get the real ones?
We asked Graham Wetzbarger, Senior Director of RealReal Authentication, to help us eliminate counterfeit products. Graham (Graham) has a ten-year career, is very concerned about brand identifiers and is sharing his experience on time with the Yeezy Boost reseller.

“Youth Fashion News”: What better details can be easily ignored between fake and real Yeezys?
Graham Wetzbarger: Be sure to check the quality of the suture. Look for excessive or visible glue spots where the sole is attached to the shoe. Shoelaces can usually be used as a gift – make sure they are the correct design and completed correctly.
Finally, look at the logo and branding of the entire shoe. They must be clean, crisp and of even weight.
TV: When we buy the pair of Yeezys, what materials do we need to prove their authenticity?
GW: The manufacturing process of the 750 is made up of many complex components. These help distinguish between authentic and fake shoes. Starting with the Boost material:
This proprietary foam is made from TPU containers that are infused with air and bonded together. If you are familiar with this, then you will go smoothly.
The first thing to consider is the overall quality. Look for alignment issues, material separation, or other quality issues that don’t meet your requirements.
If you find any of these problems, they may be fake.
Next, look at the hole near the tip. There should be 5 holes in the first row, as shown above, there are only 4 fakes.
Next, look at the pins on the side of the shoe. The stitches should be even and straight. Note that in the above fake, the quality of the seams is poor.
Next, look at the stitching on the velcro of the belt. You will not see poor quality stitches or threads like the fake above.
Next, look at the inner belt. There should be a small gap between the velcro and the three flat stiffeners. Note that in the two examples of fakes above, the top one is too big and the bottom one doesn’t have any empty spaces.
Next, look at the top seam on the back of the shoe. The seam should be straight, as shown in the actual seam above.
Note that on the fakes, the seam moves up at an acute angle.
So, see how they are. They should stand up and stay fit. Note that on the fakes, they seem to wither and collapse inward.
Then, take a look at the insole. The left-right direction should be opposite to the above direction.
Finally, take a look at the dust bag (if any). The top point should have 2 lines. Please note that the above fake only has one line.
TV: What is the retail price of a pair of shoes and which one should sound the alarm in the resale market?
GW: When it launched on June 11, the Yeezy 750 Boost retail price was $ 350. Currently, any merchandise under $ 1,500 is a red flag in the resale market.
But things often fluctuate, which is why it’s important to understand your market and see the comparable [price] between different sellers.
TV: What does the real Yeezy Boost label look like?
GW: Boost itself has no tags. You will need to look carefully at the label on the box and compare the style number, purchase order, graphic number, and even the barcode. Each shoe has an associated label. This information should match the contents of the box.
TV: Are they half the size?
GW: Yeezy Boost 750 (rubber sole) is available for the first time for half size. Future versions are expected to also be available in half the size. Tan and black are only available in full size.
What kind of packaging will real Yeezy sneakers use for TV?
GW: Yeezy Boost 750s is packaged in a paper box which is not easy to fold. The new plastic-soled packaging box is very smooth, with diamond-shaped patterns on the packaging of the previous versions.
TV: Any other suggestions?
GW: Whenever you shop, you should buy from a trusted source to ensure authenticity and have customer service able to contact you and use a secure payment processor.
I can’t tell you how many stories I’ve heard, people order products online, never get them, and then screw up their credit cards a month later.
